Cycle World

Cycle World magazine cover for June, 2009, showing Cycle World associate editor Mark Cernicky doing a wheelie on the new Ducati 1099 cc StreetfighterCycle World is a great all around motorcycle magazine for the latest on bikes, technology, clothing and accessories. It typically includes feature articles on the newest and fastest, or most unique, bikes from manufacturers around the world. You will also find informative evaluations of the latest accessories and motorcycle related products. In addition, you get a little bit of motorcycle history, sometimes in a sidebar and sometimes a feature article. Cycle World's focus leans more toward the fast and furious crowd, but it also includes nice tidbits for the touring genre and a bone every now and then for those of us who keep our dirt bikes or dual sports.

If you've been around motorcycles for a while, don't miss Peter Egan's column "Leanings". Egan has been riding since Honda came out with the "50" (more specifically, the Honda 50 CC bike of the sixties that ushered the boy next door onto his first set of two wheels). He can always hit a chord that will remind you why you've always ridden, or why you came back to riding, or why you're going to ride. And if you've missed his column because you did not know it was there for the past several decades, all you have to do is pick up one of his books, "Leanings" or "Leanings II", which are compilations of some of his best writing.
