Pat Hahn does an admirable job of covering issues that should be of concern to all of us who ride motorcycles on the streets and highways. Ride Hard Ride Smart contains concise and helpful motorcycle instruction and information, with a generous helping of photos and some eye-opening statistics. The book is sometimes a little abstract, containing less real life examles than the user-friendly read of David Hough's Proficient Motorcycling series. On the other hand, Ride Hard Ride Smart is also only 142 pages compared to Hough's 500. I recommend either Hough or Hahn's books-- both contain reminders that may save a life or at least reduce the probability of an injury causing crash. If you have a few minutes to spare any evening, it never hurts to re-read a chapter out of either. ****
